It is interesting to note how our struggle with global warming is probably a key ingredient into the impending food crisis. All across the globe, we are now seeing examples of farmers who are shifting to other more lucrative crops which are ingredients in the production of biofuels. This will in turn reduce the production of food crops leading to food shortages in many countries. And so on one hand, we need to do all we can to reduce our consumption of fossil fuels, our drive for alternative sources of energy like bio fuels could lead to a huge catastrophic situation.
Are we now faced with a catch 22 situation? Chose between the devil and the deep sea?
